PA66 ASAHI KASEI 14G25 Resin

PA66 ASAHI KASEI 14G25 Resin

Material Introduction: PA66 ASAHI KASEI 14G25 (Japan Asahi Kasei) is a high‑performance 25% glass‑fiber‑reinforced heat‑stabilized PA66 engineering plastic. It features high strength, high rigidity, good heat resistance, dimensional stability, as well as outstanding creep resistance and fatigue resistance. Its inherent water‑absorption property will affect dimensional stability and partial performances; strict drying is mandatory before processing.

Main Applications

Automotive industry: Engine peripheral components (engine brackets), bearing cages, gears, pulleys, high‑pressure sealing gaskets, valve seats, oil pipelines and oil storage containers.

Electronic‑electrical industry: Components for electrical and electronic applications.

Industrial parts: Industrial gears, sealing rings, various handles and support frames.

Injection Molding Parameters

Processing Item Recommended Range / Condition Notes & Explanations
Drying Treatment Hot‑air drying above 80 ℃ for at least 4‑6 h; vacuum‑dry at 100‑105 ℃ for over 6‑8 h under high‑humidity conditions. Critical operation. Control moisture content ≤0.2% to avoid hydrolysis‑induced bubbles, silver streaks and mechanical‑property deterioration. Use immediately after drying or seal and keep warm properly.
Melt Temperature 275‑285 ℃, general range for reinforced grades. Adjust according to equipment and products. Avoid temperature>300 ℃ or long residence‑time to prevent material degradation.
Mold Temperature 80 ℃ recommended. Mold temperature affects crystallinity and final properties. Thin‑wall parts molded below 40 ℃ may require annealing for geometric stability.
Injection Pressure 750‑1250 bar. Subject to product and mold design; appropriately increase injection pressure for glass‑fiber reinforced grade.
Injection Speed High speed (moderately reduced for reinforced materials). High‑speed filling facilitates mold‑filling; excessive speed may cause uneven glass‑fiber orientation and poor venting.
Runner & Gate Gate bore ≥0.5*t (t = part wall thickness). Smaller gate size for hot runner vs conventional runner. Minimum diameter for submarine gate:0.75 mm. Short solidification time of PA66, gate location & dimension are critical for filling.
Molding Shrinkage Flow direction:0.50%; Transverse direction:0.90%. Obvious anisotropy, special attention required in mold design.
